Thoughts for Prayer Time
June 20th, 2010Proverbs 24:3-4
The symbolic “house” in the verses represents the life of an
individual or family. The book of proverbs reminds readers yet again
that a meaningful life and enduring legacy are not built by collecting
material or intellectual property but by acquiring wisdom and
understanding. The “rare and beautiful treasures” (Proverbs 24:4) that
fill the spiritually rich soul are far more priceless than the finest
jewels on earth (Proverbs 3:13-15; 10:15). in building a wise and worthy
“house,” we follow the example of our own Creator, who “founded the
world by his wisdom and stretched out the heavens by his understanding”
(Jeremiah 10:12).
As we pray for our own homes and the church… remember the wisdom above..
