Bulletin – April 1, 2012

New Vienna United Methodist Church is pleased to welcome Sarah Chapman as the incoming pastor.  Sarah has been filling in as interim since October and is now being confirmed as the long-term leader of this vital community of faith.  Sarah and her husband Joe will be moving to the community in May and are looking forward to being in New Vienna.

Sarah comes to New Vienna UMC from a very broad background in church leadership.  She has helped design and execute worship services for both Traditional and Contemporary congregations. In addition to delivering various conferences and classes, she has spoken to Sunday morning congregations ranging in size from 10 to 1000.  This will be her first posting as lead pastor and she is excited to be a long-term community servant.

New Vienna UMC has a long history of community service.  Through its food pantry it feeds as many as 100 families a month.  Its basketball program, Easter Egg Hunt, scouting, and other programs have given it a wonderful reputation in the community.

Sarah studied at Wright State University and in addition to her role as pastor, she also works for Procter & Gamble as a corporate trainer and administrator.  She and Joe have one furry child, a cat named Adrock.
