The Gentle Shepherd Variety Store opened in August of 2008, is sponsored by New Vienna UMC and focuses on serving the physical needs of the people. During His ministry, Christ insisted on healing the sick, feeding the poor and clothing the naked – to the point of breaking Levitical Law. Before we can minister to the souls of humanity, we need to be sensitive to their physical needs.
The store is providing clothing along with toys at value prices to the many fixed and low-income families in New Vienna and the surrounding communities. In addition, the monies received through sales at the store have been used to help others in this community.
Donations of toys and household items welcome.
Volunteers are always welcome to help sort items.
